Welcome
to Pennsylvania Dairy Princess and Promotion Services, Inc. (PDPPS)!
Hello, my name is Junia Isiminger and I serve as the Executive
Director of this incredible organization. I have the honor and privilege of working with some of the most
positive thinking and energetic young people associated with the
Pennsylvania Dairy Industry. It is very rewarding to work in a program that promotes the
leadership of tomorrow’s agriculture leaders. From the time the young people first enter the program; whether it be
at age 6, 16 or 21, the tremendous amount of
personal growth each one of those young people receive is amazing. During their time as promoters, they learn to speak up for what they
believe in and while doing so, gain not only speaking skills, but also self
confidence, poise and maturity. Many
past dairy princesses, today work in the dairy industry as dairy farmers and
industry representatives in both the private and public sectors
including the PA Department of Agriculture, PA Center for
Dairy Excellence, Ag Choice Farm Credit, Fort Dodge, Elanco, Mid Atlantic Dairy Association, Lancaster Farming, Farmshine and the
list goes on. In addition, we
have many past princesses working in areas that allow them to promote the dairy industry on a daily basis including television
anchors, teachers, nurses, doctors and marketers.
I myself started in the program as a
county alternate dairy princess then as a
county dairy princess, and then as a county committee person for 12 years
before beginning to work for PDPPS. Each year, I have become a stronger
promoter for the Pennsylvania Dairy Industry. It is an industry that I have deep roots in, I was raised
on a dairy farm and today, my husband and I are raising
our family on a dairy farm. I am the fifth generation to be a dairy farmer and third generation
to be farming on the dairy farm that I call home. I am proud to be a Pennsylvania Dairy Farmer and to work with young
people who represent our state and industry with such pride and dedication.
Pennsylvania’s Dairy Industry is fortunate to have such a premium program
for the young people of Pennsylvania to learn, grow and become dairy
industry spokespersons in. I am proud to be
coordinating the activities of this outstanding organization – Pennsylvania
Dairy Princess & Promotion Services, Inc.
